Why Biothane? Our collars and leads are exclusively made using BioThane®, the finest quality strapping material for dogs. BioThane® is manufactured in the USA and is highly durable, easy to clean, waterproof, and stronger than leather. Despite these qualities, it retains a soft and flexible texture similar to leather, making it effortless to maintain. We take pride in using this superior product, which is now available in Australia.

How To Care For My Product?Maintaining Biothane is simple, and Biothane USA recommends using a mild mixture of warm soapy water to clean it. Since the color is injected into the PVC coating, there is no need to worry about color fading or loss of texture. To prevent dirt and grime buildup on the BioThane® strapping, wipe it down with a damp cloth. For the hardware, avoid using wire brushes or tools that may damage the coating, and don't machine wash as it may scratch the hardware. After use in wet conditions, dry or hang the hardware to dry. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Collar Measuring GuideUse a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string to measure your dog's neck where the collar would normally sit. Make sure to measure around the widest part of the neck, close to the base of the skull, where the collar will sit. Take note of the measurement in centimeters or inches, depending on your preference. Choose the appropriate collar size based on the weight of your dog and the collar sizes we offer. Let us know the exact measurement of your dog's neck in the product notes. We will make the collar custom to your dog's neck size. If the collar is for a puppy, please let us know so we can adjust the measurements accordingly. Here are the collar sizes we offer: 1/2" 13mm: for dogs under 10kg (shih tzu, Jack Russell, Chihuahua, Dachshund, etc.) 5/8" 16mm: for dogs under 15kg (Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, etc.) 3/4" 19mm: for dogs 15kg+ (Australian Cattle Dog, Border Collie, Labrador, Rottweiler, working dogs, etc.) 1" 25mm: for dogs 15kg+ (Australian Cattle Dog, Border Collie, Labrador, Rottweiler, working dogs, etc.) Remember, a properly fitting collar should be snug but not too tight, with enough room to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck. A custom-fit collar will provide the best comfort and support for your dog. If you have any questions or concerns about measuring your dog's neck or selecting a collar size, please don't hesitate to contact us for assistance.
